Call readiness scorecard

Ten questions that decide whether a call is worth your next six weeks. Works for Horizon Europe collaborative calls, ERC, MSCA and EIC. Nothing is stored — the score is calculated in your browser.

1. We have checked eligibility and admissibility against the call documents, in writing.Dates, entity types, mobility rules, country eligibility. This one is binary in reality: fail it and nothing else counts.
2. Our project matches the topic scope and expected outcomes, not just the topic title.Open the topic text and tick off each expected outcome against your plan.
3. We can state the core idea in two sentences that a non-specialist understands.If it takes a paragraph, the evaluator will not find it either.
4. The team or consortium is complete, committed, and covers every competence the work plan needs.Named organisations with signed-off intent, not a wish list.
5. We have a work package structure with deliverables, milestones and leads.Even a draft. Writing Impact before the work plan exists usually produces vague text.
6. We have an effort table in person-months per partner and per work package.Effort that does not match the work plan is one of the most visible weaknesses in Implementation.
7. We can name the outcomes and who uses the results after the project ends.Outputs are what you produce; outcomes are what changes for someone else.
8. We have at least six focused weeks before the deadline, with writing time protected.Count actual writing days, not calendar days.
9. Ethics, data protection and open science requirements have been reviewed.Human participants, personal data, third-country transfer, dual use, animal research, a data management plan.
10. Portal registration, PIC, legal and financial data and signatures are in place or under way.Administrative steps sink more submissions in the last 48 hours than weak science does.
