Before iQrypto, Alessandro Brunetti was director of AbSensing Ltd in the United Kingdom. UKRI's Gateway to Research records AbSensing as the lead participant on the feasibility project Design and layout of a dark noise QRNG and lists Alessandro as Project Manager.
This page documents historical founder experience. The project was not an iQrypto award and predates Arvacore.

The technical idea
The feasibility study explored a CMOS-based quantum random-number generator using a quantum-noise source available in the absence of light. The objective was to reduce some of the size, cost and power constraints associated with photon-based QRNG implementations.
The project sits naturally in the technical trajectory that later led to iQrypto's semiconductor-based quantum-randomness work.
Why a feasibility grant is different
A feasibility proposal has to create confidence without pretending that the full product has already been built.
The argument usually needs to connect:
- a technically specific uncertainty;
- a bounded development programme;
- evidence that the team can perform the work;
- a credible route from feasibility result to a larger technical or commercial programme.
That logic still appears in European deep-tech proposals today. The scale is different, but the core question is similar: what evidence will this funding create that changes the next decision?
Company history
Companies House records AbSensing Ltd as incorporated on 30 March 2020 and dissolved on 16 May 2023. It should therefore always be described historically.

Why this appears on Arvacore
Arvacore does not claim this award as its own. It is included because proposal and project judgement develops cumulatively across research, startups and funded programmes.
The provenance should remain explicit:
AbSensing -> UK feasibility project -> Alessandro as Project Manager -> historical experience behind Arvacore.

What this project adds to the founder track record
The project is small compared with a large Horizon Europe or Chips JU consortium, but it documents something different: early-stage technical funding where a company has to define a testable feasibility question and show that a relatively small public investment can produce decision-grade evidence.
That creates a useful contrast with later programmes:
- feasibility study: prove whether a specific technical route deserves a larger next step;
- collaborative R&D: integrate multiple partners, interfaces and expected outcomes;
- research-training network: combine science with supervision, training and researcher development;
- pilot-line / industrial programme: connect technical development to a broader European value chain.
Arvacore should use the AbSensing example for this learning context rather than as a current service market or UK funding hub.
Attribution and evidence
UKRI's Gateway to Research is the primary source for the award and names both the lead participant and Project Manager. Companies House is the primary source for the company's legal history.
This means the site can state the project, value, period, lead participant and Alessandro's Project Manager role directly. It should not recast the award as an iQrypto result or an Arvacore result.
The correct chain is:
AbSensing Ltd -> UKRI/ISCF feasibility project -> Alessandro Brunetti, Project Manager -> historical founder experience behind Arvacore.
